Ryde What?

Years back, clichéd and kitch shirts were considered cool, but then every HnM type of shop caught on and jumped onto the band wagon, and before you knew it, every second person you passed on the sidewalk was sporting a tee that shouted “I’m nobody’s bitch” or, “what are you looking at” on it. Even our blonde lady friends Paris and Madonna wore these ridiculous pieces of fashion. But soon, like anything that gets too big and commercialised, the coolness disappeared from the tee’s, and after a while it was only over-weight try hards in hot pants and roller blades rocking out in them.

What is sad though is the concept was a good one, thus fortunately for people who loved the ideas and slogan shirts from the beginning, but worried too much about their reputation to buy one from the …

Nike 6.0 Goes Girlie

It is with but a warm heart and grin on my pip that I bring to you the greatest news ever, Nike 6.0 has finally released a women’s range, designed specifically for all those steezy, action women out there who are sick and tired of clunking around in boy’s sneakers. A first, the new collection compliments this season’s trend, which seems to put action sports shoes on the “highly sought after” fashion icon list.

The safest style is the Air Mogan, the true core and gem of Nike 6.0. collection. It’s tough, durable and stands true to all the core values of the Nike 6.0’s. What’s great though, is the design team have played around with some fabulous color combinations and new textures. For a shoe that will never let you down, the Air Mogan is one sneaker you’ll …

Stay in the 70’s or Make a Come Back?

Okay, so I will be the first to admit, I spend far too much money on clothes. I love them. I love to buy new stuff and wear it once and discard it. I love fashion. I love customizing my own stuff. I love dressing up smart and putting on make-up and I love having favorite items that I wear until they fall apart. But, and this is huge, it was recently brought to my attention, that this immature gesture to bring back high waisted pants and shorts, is not going away.

Basically, several days ago, I realized I only had two decent pairs of pants left in my cupboard. So, off I went, with mission and purpose stamped all over my being, in search of some black, skinny jeans. You’d think it would be easy, black is a common color, …

Are you Steezy Enough for Neon? »

Are you Steezy Enough for Neon?

Slowly but surely, the luminous trend from the 80’s seems to be creeping back into wardrobes everywhere, without causing too much of a reaction. This is odd, I have to conclude, as neon is hardly subtle, and should be causing far more of a stir. But, in saying that, imagine for a second, if neon made a comeback similar to the size of say, something like, Converse sneakers. Imagine entire cities tossing out there plain clothes and instead stocking up with luminously colored pants, caps, shirts, bikini’s, boardies, spray jobs on their boards… it would be a nightmare, and in a very literal sense, blinding. It would be too much, and unlike massive fashion movements where entire groups buy into specific products, it would crash and burn, as I am pretty sure, an entire nation dressed in neon, would lose its coolness …

Wanna be an Ezekiel Girl »

Wanna be an Ezekiel Girl

Ezekiel recently launched their brand spanking new website (http://ezekielusa.com/) It’s fully interactive, slick and easy to navigate and full on useful tit bits, like the latest Ezikiel Women’s lines, awesome downloads to customise your phones and computers with and even a Girl Blog, where you can keep in touch with the Ezikiel team riders, or simply have your say. This is something worth checking out, as most clothing sights are slow and painful to download, where as I found browsing this one easy and on top of that, interesting. The spring line is looking exceptionally good this year, with a seemingly floral and girly feel to the designs. If you’re tired of being stereotyped as a butch girl for always wearing boardies or jean pants, browse through the spring range and pick out a pretty frock to shock all your …
