Professional organized sports have had online communities for years, Fantasy Football, Baseball, Basketball, and even Hockey. If you are a fan of sports I am sure you have heard about these fantasy leagues, I am all too familiar with them from my boyfriend. However, today I came across something that takes online fantasy playing to a whole new level… our kind of level. Surfer Magazine has launched The Fantasy Surfer Challenge.

Four events remain in the Woman’s WCT, including the Beachley Classic kicking off in Sydney next week, and here is your chance to right in the midst of the action. Not only will you be tracking and participating ever step of the way through the remainder of the tour, there are plenty of prizes to be won on Women’s Fantasy Surfer, including Roxy wetsuits and hoodies, PacSun gift certificates, and a grand prize $1000 Billabong wardrobe. Object
To build a team of 5 surfers that will accumulate the highest points for the entire 2008 WCT World Tour events.

Registration
To play The Fantasy Surfer Challenge, you must register. Registration is FREE! Your registration will entitle you to become the owner of a fantasy surfing team. You can register at any time to play the game. The sooner you register the better your odds will be of winning. Register and pick your team before 10/09/2008 to score points for the 2008 Beachley Classic

Prizes
Grand Prize - The team with the best cumulative score wins a Billabong wardrobe ($1000 value).
Billabong Event Winners - The team with the highest score for each event will win a “Billabong prize pack”.

12/8 - Billabong Pro Maui

How to play
Each owner will have $30,000,000 in fantasy money to draft his/her surfing team, buying surfers who are valued according to their current rankings and projected performance in the 2008 WCT surfing events.
